Midway Atoll national wildlife refuge & battle of Midway National Memorial
Midway is a visual and complex paradise: blue lagoons, submerged historic structures, vibrant corals, culturally sacred sites, millions of birds, abandoned runways, hundreds of resident dolphins, and some of the last remaining structures of the Pacific Ocean theater of World War II.
Shot in 6K both above and below water, this one-hour film will present an unprecedented opportunity to see the remarkable natural beauty and abundant wildlife of the Midway Atoll located in the newly expanded Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument. President Obama designated the expansion in 2016.
Tandem Stills + Motion has partnered with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Midway. Please visit the official site, www.midway75.org, for more information.
